FC Panathinaikos, announces the incorporation in its roster of Victor Ibarbo, on loan from Cagliari and welcomes him to the “family” of the “Shamrock”.
The Colombian striker was born on May 19, 1990 in Tumaco, Colombia. After growing in the football academies of La Cantera, he began his professional career in 2008 with Atlético Nacional, where he remained for three years, playing in 102 matches and having scored six goals.
In summer 2011, Cagliari went on with his acquisition, although he was close to move to Udinese, two years earlier. Segundo Victor Ibarbo Guerrero, as this is his full name, appeared 115 times with the Sardinian team and scored 15 goals.
In January 2016, he left on loan for Atlético Nacional, in which he played in 11 games and scored one goal. Previously he has been loaned initially to Roma and then to Watford in February and in September of last year.
This 26 year old ace has a rich experience playing with the National team of his country, as well. He played also against the National team of Greece, in a match in which Colombia won 3-0 for the third group of the 2014 World Cup competition.
Ibarbo participated 15 times with the Colombian National team, scoring one goal, from 2010 onwards. Previously, he played for the U-20 National team of his country.
