One of the biggest camps for the selection of football players and goalkeepers ever organized in Cyprus, is held by Panathinaikos Soccer Schools Cyprus in cooperation with FC Panathinaikos, which will be present on the island looking for talents.
PANATHINAIKOS Skills Tournament is particularly well known, as it is annually organized under the auspices of the FC at the historic “Leoforos” stadium, in which hundreds of footballers to be, are participating. The aim is to choose talents that will staff the Academy of the Club, while of great importance is the acquisition of football experience by the young athletes.
The Skills Tournament will be conducted by coaches and scouters of PANATHINAIKOS Academy who will present to the children a program of high performance and a know-how derived from the heart of the Club. Vangelis Samios and George Simos (U-20 coaches), Dimitris Markos (Director of the Scouting department of the Academy) and Panagiotis Bartzokas (coach and Goalkeeper scout), are going to be in charge of the tournament.
The first big Skills Tournament in Cyprus will take place on the weekend of June 4-5, 2016 at the Sports Center of Anagenissis Yermasoyias and will be honored by the presence of Mr. Vassilis Konstantinou, Vice President of the FC and CEO of Panathinaikos Soccer Schools. The veteran of the “Greens” will be introduced to young talents, while the goalkeepers will have … their special day, as they are going to share the same position with the former ace of the Club.
The players which are going to be selected, will travel to Athens and put under the guidance of the Academy’s Sports Director and his staff.
