The 2nd Northern Greece Tournament of Panathinaikos Soccer Schools has been successfully completed.
More than 400 children have participated in the 2nd Northern Greece Tournament, held this year, as well, in the beautiful facilities of Eleftheroupolis.
The Football Director of the FC, Mr. Gilberto Silva was also present at the closing ceremony. Mr. Silva spoke to the children, had photo opportunities with them, presenting several awards. The President of the Soccer Schools, Mr. Vassilis Konstantinou, and the scout of the FC Mr. Giorgos Kaffes, who attended for the second consecutive time, joined Mr. Silva.
Addressing the footballers, Gilberto Silva, told them: “I would like you to enjoy football as much as you can because it forms part of your education. For me football is Respect, Fair Play, Skills, Communication and Pleasure. Being a professional football player is related on how much one enjoys the game in accordance with quality and a lot of perseverance. Keep enjoying football“.
In the area of Kavala, our School “Orfeas Eleftheroupolis”, organized once more an impeccable football event in the premises of the Municipality, following an outstanding cooperation with Panathinaikos Net. Nine “green” schools from Macedonia participated, together with the friendly attendance of ΑΟ Kavala.
Children from the age groups pre-junior, junior, pre-children and children, played under excellent weather conditions, motivated by their passion for football and assisted by their parents, who trust the work done in the Net of FC Panathinaikos.
The Tournament encouraged a better contact between the Schools, cooperation and exchange of opinions on training matters. By their presence, Panathinaikos officers underlined the importance given on the development of the Net and the young sports categories.
