Panathinaikos FC expresses his deepest condolences to the relatives of Giannis Komianidis, an effective striker in 60s who contributed to Panathinaikos’ “european birth” and unique achievement of the invincible Championship in 1963/1964 by playing 11 times and scoring 7 goals.
Giannis Komianidis who was known by the nickname “Egyptian”, was beloved as a man and respected as a player, giving solutions to his coach Stefan Bobek and writing his name in the golden pages of the history of Panathinaikos.
His funeral will be tomorrow 29/4 at 17:00, Voula cemetery.
