Panathinaikos played the first scheduled friendly in North America against Champions League title holders, Serie A champions and Italian Cup winners, Internazionale Milano. The “Greens” won 3-2 in a fascinating game that took place at Rogers Centre Stadium in Toronto, Canada. Djibril Cisse opened the score for the Greens in the 12th minute after receiving a Sebastian Leto low cross coming in from the left side. Less than ten minutes later (21’) the French striker doubled the lead for the “Shamrock” with a superb long shot outside the box. Samuel Eto’o got one back for Inter in the 32nd minute, but Sebastian Leto made it 3-1 shortly before the end of the 1st half (41’). Coutinho produced the final 3-2 in the 86th minute.
