Andrea Stramaccioni had the opportunity to check the readiness of his players in a friendly training match which was held at “G. Kalafatis” training center, against Kallithea.
Panathinaikos prevailed easily 4-0 and lost many chances to achieve a wider score. The milestone of the match was the comeback of Rasmus Thelander, who participated in the second half, for the first time after some months.
In the 9th minute, Villafañes took advantage of Topali’s error and scored the opening goal. In the 19th minute a combination by Pispas and Lod found Hult in a shooting position and after the first save of Kallithea’s goalkeeper, Rinaldi scored the second goal, before the unguarded goalpost.
Few minutes later, Rinaldi, did a nice combination with Pispas who got a pass by the Argentinean close to the first post and tripled Panathinaikos’ goals by a successful heel shoot.
In the 54th minute, following a wrong passing by Tsonis, Rinaldi scored his second personal goal in the game, making a 4-0, which was the final score.
In the 75th minute Vlachodimos stopped a penalty executed by Belis.
