Panathinaikos prevailed over the team of Anagenissi Karditsas in a match held at “Apostolos Nikolaides” stadium, winning by an abundant 4-0. The Greens did a big step toward their qualification to the quarter finals of the Cup of Greece competition.
During an explosive first half, Ivan Jovanovic’s players scored all four goals of the match coming closer to their qualification for the next Greek Cup’s round.
Panathinaikos hasn’t underestimate its rival, a second division team, entering the pitch seriously, with devotion and a good will to win the “ticket” to the next round. The Greens pressed their rival from the very beginning and started scoring from the 6th minute with Mateus Vital. The second Green goal came in the 20th minute with a nice shoot by Vital again! The third goal was scored in the 32nd minute as Αitor shot straight into the rival nets after receiving a pass from Carlitos. The Greens didn’t stop their pressure and thus were able to score a fourth goal in the 42nd minute with Carlitos who moved faster than the rival defendants and shot the ball into Gekas’ goalposts.
During the second half Panathinaikos managed very well the game and was able to keep the 4-0 till the last minute. Although the Shamrock could have achieved a bigger score, two more goals scored by Carlitos in the 63rd minute and by Palacios in the 85th minute were disallowed as both players were in an off side position.
