Everything went wrong in the premiere of Panathinaikos in the Stoiximan Super League. The Greens were defeated 1-0 in OAKA by Asteras Tripoli and started their journey in the new league in the worst possible way.

From the beginning the Shamrock seemed to be out of the race and basically could never enter the battle for the victory. Zeka’s dismissal in the 51st minute also contributed to this, as the Greens were not only left with ten players on the field, but in the next minute they also conceded a goal from the rival team that maintained the lead until the end with a massive defense…

Panathinaikos received a resounding beating at the start of the season, which, however, is called upon to overcome immediately as the important European match against Racing Club de Lens, in France, for the play offs of the Conference League follows and then a second consecutive home match against Levadeiakos.

The goal that determined the winner was scored at 52′ by Crespi’s free kick.
