With Panathinaikos’ soul, passion, dynamism and efficiency, the Greens dominated the derby and celebrated a great victory with a 2-0 win over Olympiacos.
After two amazing teamwork with a tremendous passing game, Bernard paved the way to the triumph at 25′, Jeremejeff sealed the three-point win at 60′ and Panathinaikos – after the great qualification in the penalty shootout for the Cup – smiled again against the Piraeus team.
It was the Greens’ fifth win over the Reds in their last 12 matches between them, a period in which they have also drawn six and suffered just one defeat (last season in the infamous play-off derby). The Greens, who reached 15 wins in 21 games in this season’s league, remained within three points of the top, showing that they are firmly in contention for the title.
