The first derby ended in a draw

Panathinaikos put up a great fight against PAOK, the team came close to victory, but eventually left Toumba with a draw.

Diego Alonso’s Greens created classic chances, capped by Fotis Ioannidis’ 93rd-minute strike, but were held to a 0-0 draw in the first Stoiximan Super League derby for the 2024-25 season.

The game had a fast pace from the start with both teams showing a desire to chase the goal early on. In the 78th minute, Diego Alonso made a triple change to fresh up the Green line-up, bringing on Mancini, Djuricic and Ounahi, who made his debut wearing the green shirt. Indeed the Greens, who showed to have more energy than their opponents on the field, had the last great chance of the game, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
