Ousmane Coulibaly, is from now on a player of Panathinaikos. The Malian ace showed his enthusiasm regarding the perspectives opened in front of him after this contract! At least this is what his first statements in the official website of Panathinaikos are showing.
Ousmane, looking at your career one realizes that you are gradually progressing during all these years. Do you think that your transfer to Panathinaikos is such?
“Certainly the fact that I’ve signed for Panathinaikos is another big step for my career and my progress as a player! What is very important for me and is my aim is to be better every year, to ameliorate and improve my way of playing… So I am very happy that everything went well because here are the necessary conditions to realize my goals”.
In Platanias you managed to “fix” a name and you already scored against Panathinaikos! Being one of the best right-back of the Championship. The requirements are growing now, so what are you expecting from this collaboration?
“First and foremost I know that everyone is expecting several things from me not only because I was transferred but also because I came into a very important Club which already plays in fact in the groups of Europa League… What I expect is to continue this upward for both the team and myself, for our mutual benefit and for giving happiness to our fans, who as I know are always “warm” and stand on our side”.
You are familiar with… people and situations in Greek football, so your opinion has a special value. What is your opinion about the transfers which were realized in the team and what can the fans expect from you?
“Bear in mind that I followed from the beginning all the transfers done by Panathinaikos and indeed this was an extra incentive for me to come. I think a pretty good team was build, strong and with many perspectives. I do not want to speak very highly but I think it’s time to get a lot of titles with Panathinaikos!”.
