FC Panathinaikos announces the acquisition of Greek striker Nikos Vergos. This 22 y.o. footballer has signed a three year contract with our Club.
Vergos was born on the 13 of January 1996 in Kilkis, Northern Greece. He debuted playing in local teams and when he was 13 he joined Olympiakos Academy. In 2015 he was loaned to the Spanish team Elche CF and a year later he joined Real Madrid’s second team. Last year he was loaned again to the Hungarian team of Vasas and in January he returned to Olympiakos. Then he signed for Panathinaikos as a free agent player.
«This is a new challenge in my career and I will try to do my best. Panathinaikos is a great team and I want to help them», Vergos stated after signing his contract.
Vergos has chosen shirt number 20.
